  • On May 9th, the body of 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey was found with 114 stab wounds after being reported missing in Florida.

  • The suspect Aiden Fucci, 14, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder initially. However, looking at the nature of the crime, R.J. Larizza, state attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit announced on Thursday that Fucci will be charged as an adult.

  • The victim had 49 defense wounds on her head and the tip of the knife used to stab her was also found in her skull.

  • R.J. Larizza said, "It brings me no pleasure to be charging a 14-year-old as an adult with first-degree murder. But I can tell you also that the executive team and I reviewed all the facts, all the circumstances”.

  • The movie of the murder has not been released yet. The teens were last seen walking in CCTV footage but there was no sign of trouble or tension.

  • Fucci made his first court appearance on Friday with the upgraded charges. The judge ordered no bail for him until his arraignment.
