Alexei Navalny: What you need to know

44 years old, Alexei Navalny is a Russian opposition leader and ferocious Putin critic who gained worldwide attention following his poisoning on a flight from Tomsk to Moscow. He was extracted to Berlin where he was treated. Russian President Vladimir Putin was accused for orchestrating the attack. After spending five months in Germany, Navalny and his wife returned to Russia on January 17th 2021, where he was detained and imprisoned for over two years pertaining to a parole violation of his 2014 conviction. As of Feb 10th, his wife Yulia Navalnaya is back in Germany.
