American Nigerian novelist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie loses mother: What you need to know
The author of Purple Hibiscus, Americanah, and We Should All Be Feminists, American-Nigerian novelist and short story writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie loses her mother.
Her mother, Mrs. Grace Ifeoma Adichie, has died at 78 suddenly on Monday, March 1st, 2021 in Awka, Nigeria.
A family spokesperson close to the writer said: "It was a very sad and sudden loss. We are all devastated". Funeral arrangements will be announced by her family later.
As of today, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has not shared the sad news on any of her social media, website or made any public statement.
