Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women : What you need to know

An independent investigation today concluded that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women. New York Attorney General Letitia James said that Mr Cuomo had violated state and federal laws. Andrew Cuomo has not yet responded to the update.

The independent investigation was set up last year after multiple women came forward with the allegation of sexual misconduct against Gov. Cuomo. Investigators spent five months speaking to nearly 200 people, including staff members and some of those who made complaints against him.

Letitia James said "The independent investigation has concluded that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and in doing so violated federal and state law.”

After being hailed as a hero in the way he tackled COVID-19 inNew York, Gov. Cuomo came under scrutiny when allegations of sexual misconduct came against him. Mr Cuomo allegedly reached under the blouse of an assistant to touch her breast, while another aide said he asked her if she was open to sex with an older man.

This update might lead to a separate impeachment investigation against him. President Joe Biden has not yet responded to the update.
