Armie Hammer accused of rape: What you need to know

A 24-year-old woman, Effie Angelov has accused Hollywood actor Armie Hammer of rape and abuse. She had a press conference on March 18th, where she detailed her allegations. Here is everything we know about the situation so far:

1. Angelov said that she and Armie Hammer were involved on and off from 2016 to 2020.

2. She alleges that during their relationship, Hammer was extremely violent with her, both sexually and mentally.

3. She said that in 2017, Hammer violently raped her for “over four hours”.

4. Armie Hammer’s team has denied the allegations and said that Angelov has sent graphic texts to Hammer as recently as July 18, 2020, however, Armie refused to indulge with her.

5. LAPD has initiated a sexual assault investigation.

6. Armie Hammer came under fire in January when multiple women came forward sharing graphic sexual messages ranging from rape to cannibalism.

7. Elizabeth Chambers, Armie's ex-wife had previously expressed that she is “shocked, heartbroken and devastated”.
