Army Plane crashes in Myanmar, killing 12 people: What you need to know

  • An army plane has crashed in Myanmar.

  • According to reports, 12 people have died while 4 people have not been traced yet. Among the people who died is one of the country’s most decorated monks, Abhisheka Maha Rattha Guru Bhatanda Kavisara.

  • According to sources, some of the casualties were on the ground.

  • Fire brigade vehicles reached there for relief. Emergency workers are still on the scene.

  • The plane was flying from the capital, Naypyidaw, to the town of Pyin Oo Lwin. This accident happened in the Mandla region of Mynamar.

  • No information has been received so far about how the plane became a victim of the accident, the army is investigating the matter.
