Beyoncé who is believed to have met Meghan only once, during the London premiere of the Lion King in July 2019, captioned an image showing her meeting Meghan Markle 'Thank you, Meghan, for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you'.

On International Women's Day, Beyoncé shared another post featuring 12 women she deemed to be 'rule breakers'. Meghan Markle was one of them, alongside Stacey Abrams, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Maxine Waters, Laverne Cox, and many more.
