He addressed the nation from the dining room of the White House and said that he will do everything to keep Americans safe. He advocated for moving forward with House-passed gun control reforms, which include universal background checks.

The White House flag was flying half-staff to honor the victims in Atlanta shooting, and the President ordered that it will be lowered again for honoring the victims in Colorado.
Vice President, Kamala Harris also condemned the shooting in Colorado on Tuesday, saying that the shooting was "absolutely tragic”.
