On Tuesday, the US President, Joe Biden pushed for gun reform laws in wake of the Colorado shooting. Here is everything you need to know about the update:

  1. This is one of the most vocal push that Joe Biden has made in favor of gun control reforms.

  2. He addressed the nation from the dining room of the White House and said that he will do everything to keep Americans safe. He advocated for moving forward with House-passed gun control reforms, which include universal background checks.

  3. President said, "I don't need to wait another minute, let alone an hour, to take common-sense steps that will save lives in the future.”

  4. The White House flag was flying half-staff to honor the victims in Atlanta shooting, and the President ordered that it will be lowered again for honoring the victims in Colorado.

  5. Vice President, Kamala Harris also condemned the shooting in Colorado on Tuesday, saying that the shooting was "absolutely tragic”.


It's yet to be seen how the Biden administration moves forward with gun reforms.
