Blue Ivy Carter wins first Grammy: What you need to know

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s eldest daughter Blue Ivy Carter won her first Grammy award at age 9 on March 14th. The award was announced ahead of the Grammy ceremony in the evening. She won the award for ‘Best music video’ along with her mother for the song ‘Brown Skin Girl’. She is the second youngest artist to ever have the honor. Blue Ivy was not included in the nominations initially, but her name was added later to the list in December. Her mother, Beyoncé, is the most nominated artist tonight.
