Blue Origins delays New Glenn launch: What you need to know

Space company Blue origins, headed by Jeff Bezos announced on Thursday, February 25th that they will be delaying the first flight of the new rocket New Glenn to Q4 2022, roughly one year delay from a prior plan of launch towards the end of this year. The main reason being the passing of the new rocket by Space Force, as attributed by Blue Origins. The Space Force selected United Launch Alliance (ULA) and SpaceX for National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Phase 2 Launch Services Procurement (LSP). Meanwhile, Blue Origins also mentioned that they have invested more than $ 2.5 billion into building infrastructure that will support future launches.
