Dalai Lama gets coronavirus vaccine: What you need to know

On Sunday, 85-year old spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, got his first shot of coronavirus vaccine in Dharamshala, India. He along with ten other people who live in his residence came into the hospital to get the dose. According to doctors, Dalai Lama was kept under observation for 30 minutes after the shot. He urged people, to come forward and take the vaccine, “In order to prevent some serious problems, this injection is very, very helpful”. He was given the Covishield vaccine, developed by AstraZeneca, and manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.
