European Commission drafts a proposal for digital green pass for travel: What you need to know
The EU Commission will put forward a legislative proposal this month on a digital green pass for travel. The document will prove that its holder has been well vaccinated against COVID-19.
This pass has to include specific health information, for instance, recent COVID-19 tests or proof of immunity.
The President of the EU Commission announced on Twitter "The aim is to gradually enable them to move safely in the European Union or abroad — for work or tourism".
If everything goes as planned, this certificate should be in place in less than three months to restart the freedom to travel.
