In a poll where all the residents in Japan voted for the most ‘sexist comment’, a 53-year-old MP came out as a winner. Mio Sugita, a conservative MP for the Liberal Democratic Party, won the poll by getting almost 1/3rd of more than 6000 votes cast. She won the award for her comment where she said “women can lie as much as they like” about sexual violence.
