Flora Duffy wins Bermuda's first Olympic gold ever: What you need to know

Flora Duffy made Olympic history on Tuesday, winning the women's triathlon in Tokyo to give the tiny island of Bermuda their first-ever gold medal. Bermuda with a population of just 63,000 has become the smallest nation to win an Olympic gold medal.


The 33 –year-old clinched the victory in 1 hr55min36sec, more than a minute ahead of Britain's Georgia Taylor-Brown, with American Katie Zaferes taking the bronze.
