Gas explosion in China kills 11: What you need to know

• A gas explosion in the Zhangwan district of Shiyan city, in Hubei province of China early Sunday morning left 11 people dead.

• The incident happened at 6.30 am local time in the market area. The cause of the investigation is still under investigation.

• According to reports more than 37 people are injured and are rushed to nearby hospitals.

• Many people are reported to be still trapped under the rubble. The efforts to secure everyone are ongoing.

• Pictures and videos are circulating on social media showing the workers helping out the people injured in the incident.
