NBC network has announced today that they have canceled the 2022 Golden Globes awards. Here is everything you need to know:

1. On Monday, May 10th, NBC announced that they won’t be conducting and telecasting The 2022 Golden Globes awards next year following complaints about The Hollywood Foreign Press’s lack of diversity.

2. The announcement comes after there have been multiple complaints following LA Times published an investigation regarding the HFPA having no black member among its 87 members.

3. In the last few weeks, some actors including Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo called out HFPA for its lack of diversity.

4. Today, Tom Cruise also returned his three Golden Globes awards in support of the outrage.

5. HFP has not released any statement about the decision made by NBC.
