India blocks Canadian rapper Jazzy B’s Twitter: What you need to know
India has blocked the Twitter account of Canadian Bhangra rapper Jaswinder Singh Bains, better known as Jazzy B.
The movie comes after the rapper supported the farmer protest, an issue that is ongoing in India for many months.
The singer said, "I was really shocked. I had no idea — It's a shameful thing to do … everybody has the right to speak their mind.”
The farmers in India have been protesting the laws that the government there is trying to bring in. According to them, these laws will benefit the big MNCs and will be extremely harmful to them.
Blocking Twitter account of people going against it seems to be a new trend followed by the Indian government.
