Indo-Japanese Summit-2022

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on his official visit to India reached New Delhi this afternoon. Such summits are an annual feature between leaders of other countries also. Begin in 2014 when Prime Minister Modi visited Tokyo to meet his counterpart. This summit has to be deferred due to covid 2019.
The two leaders along with high-level official delegations met at Hyderabad House and discussed national and international issues on Russia Ukraine war, South China Sea, Indo-pacific region, Ladakh region and other matters concerning peace and tranquillity in the Asian subcontinent and measures to strengthen economic ties. Ties have been based on the sound bilateral relationship and have been growing since 2014.
According to foreign secretary Mr. Harsh Vardhan, Japan will help Maruti Suzuki to build electric motor cars and also assist in scrapping worn-out vehicles in Gujarat.
Solar power, skill management, training to industrial workforce and sewerage treatment plants and disaster management are other areas where bilateral agreements have been signed.
Bamboos are abundantly growing in the North Eastern States, Japan will help to capture its optimum utilization in trade and Industry of the region.
The talks concluded fruitfully where India will export mangoes and import apples from Japan.
After a two-day stay, the Japanese Prime Minister will return to Japan meeting other south Asian leaders en route.
