Israel launches airstrikes in Gaza: What you need to know
Israel launched airstrikes in Gaza on Wednesday, in response to incendiary balloons launched from the Palestinian territory.
This breaks the cease-fire between the two countries that happened 11 days ago. The cease-fire was brokered by Egypt.
Israeli forces say that the incendiary balloons launched by Gaza caused 20 blazes in open fields in communities near the Gaza border.
The Israeli military confirmed the attack and said that the aircraft attacked Hamas armed compounds in Gaza city, and they were ready for “all scenarios”.
This is the first conflict that the newly elected government in Israel will face.
