• A 21-year-old former factory worker, Khabane Lame, has been everywhere lately. Thanks to his famous TikTok videos he is a worldwide phenomenon now.

• In March 2020 Khabane lost his job in the northern Italian industrial town of Chivasso. Instead of applying for jobs, he started making TikTok videos.

• He went viral after posting life hack videos on the platform.

• The early videos that Lame posted were in Italian, but they were wordless, and expression-filled videos that went viral.

• He has over 65 million followers on TikTok and counting. Currently, the most followed person on TikTok is 17-year-old Charli D’Amelio who has 116 million followers.

• Khabane Lame said, “It’s my face and my expressions which make people laugh”.

• His videos don’t have the high production cost that other videos on the platform have, but the simple expressions have gained him worldwide fame.

• His admirers are now operating fan pages in multiple languages, including English, German, Arabic, Spanish, and more. He is collaborating with other content creators on various platforms and earning a lot of money.

• Since he has a Senegalese passport, he has issues getting a US visa for now. He is in process of getting his Italian citizenship.

• He is getting noticed by more and more influential people by the day. Recently, Mark Zuckerberg commented on his Instagram video with a thumbs-up emoji.

• He says that when he earns enough money, he wants to buy a house for his mother.
