Lionel Messi reaches agreement to join France's PSG :What you need to know

Lionel Messi has reached an agreement to join Paris Saint Germain (PSG), after days of speculation over the Argentine's future following his departure from Barcelona.

He has received a formal two-year contract offer from PSG, thought to be worth GBP 25 million a year after tax, which is being reviewed by his representatives. He will have the option to extend the deal by a third year.

Messi also has two other potential options after leaving Barcelona but PSG remain the favorites to sign him.

The six-time winner is travelling to Paris on Tuesday afternoon to seal his move to the French club.
