Pfizer vaccine approved for children in the UK: What you need to know

Big news coming from Britain, where the Pfizer vaccine has been approved to be used to vaccinate children between the ages of 12 and 15.
A clinical trial of Pfizer was going on in Britain for a long time. After the continuous study, it was concluded that the Pfizer vaccine is effective on children and has proved to reduce the risk of Coronavirus.
Earlier, the US also approved the Pfizer vaccine to be used for children.
There is no news regarding the vaccination process within this age group in hard-hit countries like India. However, several trials are going on but no vaccine has been approved so far.
As part of the trial, a vaccine made by the company Zydus Cadila has been given to children in this age group in India. The results are awaited, post which the company is expected to ask for authorization.
The next wave of this virus is expected to be fatal for children, hence, getting a vaccine ready for this age group becomes even more important.
