This week has been challenging for Greece, as the protests against police brutality rise. On Sunday, a video emerged which showed a police officer beating up a man in Athens. The incident happened while there were compliance checks conducted to make sure that the restrictions are properly followed. However, the video has added fuel to the already burning fire against police brutality in the state. This has also led to a political fight among the liberals and the opposition leaders, who have accused the government of "investing in repression” rather than helping out the citizens to get proper medical help. As of Wednesday, the police announced, that one police officer has been arrested in relation to the incident on Sunday. No further details have been provided.
