PS5 storage upgrade: What you need to know

Sony will soon allow owners of PlayStation 5 to expand the internal storage. Currently, PS5 has an 825GB SSD that offers 667GB space for storing games and apps. This is frustrating for gamers considering several popular games like ‘Call of Duty’ take up more than 100GB of space. PS4 can expand the internal storage, unlike PS5. But, with the new firmware update, users can do so by removing the plastic cover on the console. "As previously announced, we are working to enable M.2 SSD storage expansion for PlayStation 5. The timing has not been announced and details will be shared later.” Said a Sony spokesperson.
