SUV slams into holiday parade in Wisconsin, many fatalities reported

An SUV slammed into the Christmas parade in the city of Waukesha, west of Milwaukee, at around 16:40 local time. According to Police chief Dan Thompson the car hit more than 20 people including children.
The police chief confirmed that many people have died due to the attack, however, the exact number or the details of the people who dies have not been released yet.
According to one eye witness, Angelito Tenorio, "We saw an SUV... just put the pedal to the metal and just zooming full speed along the parade route. And then we heard a loud bang, and just deafening cries and screams from people who are struck by the vehicle," he said to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper.
The police confirmed that they have recovered the vehicle and the suspect, however, no further details were provided. As per the reports, police fired at the car before they captured the suspect. The FBI is also assisting the investigation.
Mayor Shawn Reilly said that the incident is traumatic. "My heart goes out to all those affected by this senseless act," he said.
Multiple videos are circulating on social media showing the vehicle crashing at high speed through street barriers and driving into a group of people. The White House is also closely monitoring the situation.
