Tokyo Olympic 2020: What happened on the 9th day: What you need to know


American Xander Schauffele won the Olympic title with Slovakia's Rory Sabbatini taking silver, in the men's golf tournament. C T Pan of Chinese Taipei claimed bronze after a tough struggle.


Britain's Max Whitlock retained his Olympic title with a flawless display in Men's pommel horse and joined the podium with C.K.Lee of China with silver and K.Kaya of Japan with bronze.


In today's artistic gymnastic Men's floor Gold was won by A. Dolgopyat of Israel and R. Zapata of Spain won silver whereas bronze went to R T Xiao of china.


In the women's vault, Brazil's R Andrade won gold and the United State's M.Skinner won silver whereas bronze went to South Korea's S J Yeo.


In women's uneven bars, N. Derwael of Belgium won gold with A.Lliankova of ROC to silver and S.Lee of United States to bronze.


Italy's Lamont Marcell Jacobs claimed a shock gold in the men's 100 metres at the Tokyo Olympics on Sunday. Jacob timed a European record of 9.80 seconds, with American Fred Kerley taking silver in 9.84 sec. Canada's Andre de Grasse took bronze after finished the race in 9.89 sec.


Charlotte Worthington became the first-ever Olympic champion in BMX freestyle, won the gold. American Hannah Roberts settled for silver and Swiss Nikita Ducarroz took the bronze.


In cycling BMX freestyle L Martin of Australia won gold with D.Dhers of Venezuela to silver and D.Brooks of Great Britain to bronze.


In Swimming Men's 50 m freestyle United state's C Dressel won gold with Florent Manaudou of France to silver and B. Fratus of Brazil to bronze.


In Women's, 50 m freestyle E Mckeon of Australia won gold, Sarah Sjoestoem of Sweden won silver and P.Blume of Denmark took bronze.


Another gold for the US in Men's 1500m freestyle was won by Bobby Finke. M. Romanchuk of Ukrain settled for silver and F.Wellbrock of Germany with bronze.


In women's 4x100 m medley relay Australia's E McKeon won gold and United States' T. Huske, R Smith, L Jacob to silver and Canada's P.Oleksiak, S. Pickrem to bronze.


The third gold of the United States in Men's4x100m medley relay was won by R. Murphy, Z.Apple. Great Britain took silver and Italy claimed bronze.


China is still on top of the list with 24 gold, whereas the United States on second with 20 gold medals and Japan with 17 gold medals.
