Ukraine-Russia conflict: Kyiv under attack, Russia issue warning to the US

Russia has intensified its attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. The Russian forces are just a few miles away from the center of the Ukrainian capital. According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, 12,729 people were evacuated from Kyiv on Saturday.
There are also reports that at least 7 civilians were killed in Kyiv while they were trying to evacuate the city. Russia has issued a warning to the US that it would fire on weapon shipments to Ukraine, raising the risk of confrontation between Moscow and a NATO country.
Zelensky said that he is grateful for the support that he and his country is getting from the international community. He also pleaded with allies for more aid in an address Saturday.
He said, “I keep reiterating to our allies and friends abroad; they have to keep doing more for our country, for Ukrainians and Ukraine. Because it is not only for Ukraine, but it is for all of Europe. The evil which purposefully targets peaceful cities and ambulance vans and explodes hospitals will not stop with just one country if they have the strength to keep going.”
Multiple explosions were heard in Kyiv on Saturday as Russian forces encroach on the Ukrainian capital.
Russia has denied that it is targeting civilians, and has not commented on the reports that civilians were killed during the evacuation.
