Van crash in Texas kills 10: What you need to know

A van crashed on Wednesday afternoon on Highway 281 near Encino, Texas, killing 10 people and injuring 20. The injured were taken to the nearby hospital. The van had 30 people inside it when it veered off the roadway and crashed into a pole.
According to eyewitnesses, the van was traveling at a high speed before it crashed. The 10 people killed include the driver of the van. The emergency response team reached the scene shortly after the incident and helped the survivors.
There are reports that some of the people inside the van were undocumented immigrants. However, the identities of the victims have not been released yet and will be done once the next of the kin are notified.
The highway is still blocked as of late Wednesday night and the traffic was being diverted by the police.
